PHIL-IDEAS ADVOCACY COOPERATIVE

This course is designed to respond to the need of cooperatives to facilitate administrative functions and respond to the needs of the members through the application of computer technology and the internet.

It is envisioned that the officers be computer literate and be familiar with the functions of microsoft word, excel spreadsheet and power point applications. A critical skill in computer literacy is to be competent with uploading of data, pictures and information in the internet for members and the general public. Data transfer from cell phone to computer shall be a regular activity in the training.

The trainor / facilitator is committed to follow-up on the performance of the trainee/graduates through teleconferencing and blogspot. It is important for Phil-Ideas that graduates of the course contributes to the over-all productivity of the organization. 

Principles of learning as applied in this course

  • Adult learning methodology 
  • Peer-learning in conjunction with the adult learning methodology is deemed most appropriate training system for the officers of the cooperatives
  • Competency-based  Training System is an adaptation of a modern methods of psychology in technology transfer. It is multiple entry and multiple exit and competencies are measured based on performance.

ASSIGNMENT / TASK SHEET

Make a written report regarding your cooperative, your function and other information which is intended for the members of the cooperative and the general public


Use font arial with size 12


Insert a 3-column, 3 -row table of persons with their age and address


Insert a picture


Make an excel file containing names, age, salary, deductions in percentage and total amount using format and formulas


Make a power point presentation regarding your cooperative


Sign in or create a gmail account and send your report to  sbmaranga@gmail.com for uploading


Reports shall be in the format of 5 WIVES AND 1 HUSBAND what , when, where, who, why and how.

NOTES ON WHY AND HOW PEOPLE LEARN

A.   TEN PRINCIPLES OF COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING OF TESDA

1.    Learning is based on the competency-based curriculum from the competency standards
2.    Learning is competency-based or modular in structure
3.    Training delivery is individualized and self-paced
4.    Training is based on work that must be performed
5.    Training materials are directly related to the competency standards and the curriculum
6.    Assessment is based on standards of performance and collection of evidences
7.    Training is based on or off the job components, better learning with industry and school partnership
8.    The system allows the recognition of prior learning
9.    Flexibility of entry and exit in the program, if possible the trainee determine the sequence of the tasks
10.  Approved training programs are nationally accredited

B.   LEARNING STYLES OF PEOPLE

a.    Auditory – a person learns more through hearing
b.    Kinesthetic – learns more through movement and action
c.    Visual- learn more by seeing and observing

C.   PRINCIPLES OF ADULT LEARNING

D.   MORE INFORMATION ON GENERAL  LEARNING AND TRAINING PROCESS BASED ON MODULAR METHODS OF TRAINING

a.    When a person hears a task , the person  remembers approximately 10 percent
b.    When a person hears and sees a task done, the person remembers approximately 30 percent
c.    When a person hears, sees and perform the task, the person remembers approximately 90 percent
d.    When a person hears, sees , perform and tell others what was performed , the person can remember almost 100 percent
